Public Lecture and Workshop on Islam and Contemporary Indonesian Historical Identity

Starting the even semester, the History Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University held a Public Lecture and Workshop with speakers from the University of Indonesia. The activity themed "Islam and Contemporary Indonesian Historical Identity" was held online, via zoom meeting, on March 7, 2025 at 09.00 - 12.00 WITA. Dr. Abdurakhman, M.Hum., a historian from the University of Indonesia was the speaker accompanied by Prof. Dr. Drs. I Putu Gede Suwitha, S.U. as the respondent. Also present were the Dean of FIB Unud, the Coordinator of the History Study Program, lecturers in the FIB environment, and History students from the 2022 to 2024 intake.


Anak Agung Inten Asmariati, S.S., M.Si., Coordinator of the History Study Program expressed his gratitude for the presence of the speakers, respondents, deans, and lecturers and students. He explained that the purpose of this workshop was to provide a forum for discussion for students, especially those who are preparing for their final exams. Therefore, he hopes that students attending, whether from the 2022, 2023, or 2024 classes, can use this opportunity to ask questions and discuss directly with speakers and respondents who are experts in their fields.
