"Departement of History of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University was established based on Surat Keputusan Dirjen Dikti Nomor 104 Tahun 1962 tanggal, 9 Agustus 1962, signed by the Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi Departemen Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia, and since August 1962 has been opened for education. As the initial initiator of the establishment of this History Study Program is Drs. I Gusti Ngurah Rai Mirsha together with Prof. Dr. Anak Agung Gde Putra Agung, S.U. The History Study Program of the Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University has autonomy in developing study programs and always synergizes with policies at the Faculty and Udayana University levels, especially in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, so that it is able to produce quality historians and is able to contribute ideas in advancing national development, and is able to compete at local and global levels. In an effort to increase global competition and be recognized and trusted by stakeholders, the History Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University re-applied for accreditation in 2018, a field visit by assessors was conducted in 2019. The result of the assessment was SK BAN-PT Number 264/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/III/2019 that the History Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University was assigned an A Accredited rating for the second time with a score of 337 valid for 5 (five) years starting from March 5, 2019 to March 5, 2024. Thus, the History Study Program has gained the trust of the government because it has been able to carry out its functions in accordance with what is mandated in the Accreditation as a requirement for the History Study Program to operate in accordance with the mandate of the Regulation of the Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Nasional RI No. 28 Tahun 2005 which requires all study programs or higher education units in Indonesia to undergo accreditation.
